About Us

Hidden Hills Bed and Breakfast began in 2002 when Karen and Doug Halbert sold their home in town and moved “into the woods”.  With our children grown and a view to the future, we decided to develop a peaceful haven where we could enjoy the peace, serenity and solitude of “country” living.  Since then, we have worked to develop that dream – putting an 1800 square foot addition on the house to provide bedroom suites and communal living areas for B & B guests to enjoy.  We also added 1,000 square feet of raised deck to provide space to take that enjoyment out of doors and experience beautiful views over the front vineyard and beyond. And we now have a ground level patio by the back vineyard as well as a 16′ by 44′ swimming pool tucked in beside the grape vines. The pool is always available to our B & B guest and may be included as part of your special event or private party And, since our property originally consisted of 20 acres and we have expanded it by another 20 acres, there is also plenty of space for those who enjoy a leisurely walk in the woods.  (Foot paths are kept mowed throughout the property.)  There you can find a 19th century cemetery, a wet season spring, a native Missouri glade, and the many other delights that nature has to offer.
